Juanita Maxine Belk

Juanita Maxine Taylor Belk, age 86 of Keystone Heights, FL passed away peacefully at home Monday, June 13, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born February 17, 1930 in Nashville, GA, the daughter of the late Daisy Holloway Johnson and Mack Gordon Taylor. Juanita was raised and attended school in Jacksonville, FL until 1949 when she married her sweetheart Charles Windle Belk. Juanita has made Melrose/Keystone Heights her home for over 50 years, where she developed many loving friendships. Juanita was kind and gentle, a Christian woman who loved the Lord. Her hobbies included gardening, reading and serving in her church. Juanita loved her family and spending time with them. Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Charles Windle Belk, Sr. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Also preceding her in death are her brothers Cecil Johnson, Ralph Johnson and Dan Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her children, son Charles W. Belk, Jr. (Cindy), Middleburg, daughters, Kim Martin (Randy), Ocala and Edith Beck (Bill) Keystone Heights. Grandchildren, Jamie Nooney, SFC Johannah Beck, Casia Sinco, Alicia Nooney, Sierra Hobbs, and Joseph Martin, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 5-7 pm at JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF KEYSTONE HEIGHTS. Funeral service will be FRIDAY, June 17, 2016 at 3 pm at First Baptist Church Keystone Heights with the Rev. Daniel Findley and Pastor Bill Shepherd officiating. Graveside services will follow at Eliam Cemetery, Melrose Florida. Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home in Keystone Heights is in charge of the arrangements.
