Mrs. Vita Juanita Quiett age 73, of Starke passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Quiett was born on November 14, 1940 in Pisgah, Alabama to the late Jack and Dorothy (Culpepper) Robertson and moved to Starke 21 years ago. She retired from the Clay County School Board as a cook in 2000, enjoyed working outside with her plants and gardening. Preceding her in death was her husband of 44 years Walter J. Quiett, Sr., and her brother Parks Robertson. Survivors are: children: Renee DeAngelo (Jeff) of Jacksonville; Walter Quiett, Jr (Tiffanie) of Orange Park, Walter Daniel Quiett of Melrose, Darlene Turner (Vernon), Darrell Quiett (Linda), Philip Quiett (Yvonne) all of Middleburg, Tommy Quiett (Ann) of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her sisters: Marie Hartman and Jackie Lawson both of Tennessee and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 4-6 pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home with Brother B.B. Barwick officiating. Interment will follow in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
