Juanita K. Wootton Juanita K. Wootton, 86, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Acosta-Rua Hospice Center for Caring. Mrs. Wootton was born April 12, 1926 in Bronwood, GA to John Lee Kennedy and Carolyn Glass. She graduated from Georgia Baptist Hospital with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing in March 1947. She served as a Cadet Nurse during World War II. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Riverside Hospital and retired from St. Vincents Medical Center in 1986. Juanita Nita is preceded in death by her husband William Joshua Wootton and a brother James Wright Kennedy. She is survived by her daughters, Susan "Kaye" (Stephen) Carswell and Margaret (Hal) Thomas; sons, William "Bill" Wootton (Ima) and John Keith (Lisa) Wootton; sister, Doris Miller; brothers, Gordon (Jean) Kennedy and Gene Kennedy; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday November 5, 2012 at Terry Road Baptist Church, 6625 Terry Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Pastor Jerry Powers and Reverend Ted Corley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery will follow the service. Pallbearers will be Bill, Keith and Chris Wootton, Stephen Carswell, Hal, Scott and Greg Thomas and Eric Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mrs. Woottons name may be made to Terry Road Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of George H.
