Obituary

Judson Leonard Litchfield went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2024, after passing away unexpectedly. Jud was born on February 2, 1943 in Miami Beach, Florida and was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Georgia Litchfield. He was a longtime resident of Jacksonville for more than 70 years. He was a proud graduate of both Robert E. Lee HS and Florida State University. As a proud Seminole, he was a football Season Ticket holder for more than 38 years. Jud was a proud veteran and patriot having served honorably in the United States Air Force. He then spent a long and successful career in the Banking industry and built personal relationships in business that lasted far beyond his retirement. Jud was an outstanding athlete playing multiple sports throughout his life, but his true passion was handball, where he was a ranked player and enjoyed the game for most of his life. He could often be found in the stands on Friday nights supporting local High School football and baseball. Additionally, he enjoyed fishing and spending summers with his family at Crescent Beach. One of his true joys in life was his marriage of 48 Years to his wife Vicki and his children, grandkids, and great grandkids. "Pop" as he was affectionately known leaves behind a large and loving family that includes Wife (Vicki) Litchfield, Daughter Michelle (David) Poitevint, Daughter Shelly Goad,Son Frank (Nicole) Graham, Son Brad (Jennifer) Litchfield. Grandkids Parker, Anthony, Peyton, Gabriella, Ollie, Mikayla, Dustin and Great Grandkids Rueben, Kenny, Jaxon.The family will receive friends in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. Inurnment will follow the service in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 12:30PM.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice and Dreams Come True.
