Judy Anne Dukes

Mrs. Judy Anne Dukes, age 72 of Starke passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. She was born August 24, 1947, in Washington, DC to the late Vince and Patricia (Badman) Spengler. Mrs. Dukes was employed by the Bradford County School System for 31 years as a teachers aide until her retirement. She had also served as President of the Teachers Union for 16 years. She previously attended First United Methodist Church of Starke and was a member of the Starke Womans Club. Mrs. Dukes enjoyed being a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was active with the Girls in P.E.A.R.L.S.; enjoyed having luncheons with her friends, but most of all spending time with her family. Mrs. Dukes leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years JC Dukes and their three children Stephanie Johnson and Kimberly Teague both of Starke and Jarett Dukes of Orlando along with her sister Debbie Forman of Tallahassee. Also left behind are four precious grandsons. The family will be having a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial gift to the American Cancer Society.
