Mrs. Julia "Judy" Faye McMullen age 77, of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Friday, May 4, 2018. She was born December 30, 1940 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late V.C. "Mac" and Bessie (Williams) McNair. Mrs. McMullen began her career starting with the Department of Transportation; she then began working with the City of Jacksonville for the next 32 years and retired as Senior Traffic Engineer. This led up to her having an integral part in Keystone Heights receiving its first traffic light. In 1972, she moved to Keystone Heights from Jacksonville and was also a member of Fresh Start Fellowship. You could find Judy outside working in the yard, planting plants and growing flowers or even working on a car. Sewing, quilting, playing various musical instruments are just some of her many talents she had. She was also known for her famous quotes, "Well see", "Maybe", "Right back at ya" and "My tickets bought and paid for". Mrs. McMullen is survived by two children Denyse Riemer and Dudley Herring both of Keystone Heights. She was also known as "Nona" to four grandchildren Julia Wagner, Danny Herring, Nick Riemer and Dylon Herring as well as three great grandchildren, Makenna Davis, Contessa Herring and Decker Herring. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Eliam Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. WALKER DR.
