Mrs. Dena Hobbs, age 77, of St. Augustine passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Community Hospice. She was born in Foley on June 9, 1937 to the late Joseph and Berta (Lawhon) Frohock and was a retired bookkeeper. Mrs. Hobbs had been a resident of Gainesville and Starke before moving to St. Augustine 2 years ago. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved to go fishing. Her husband Johnny Ray Hobbs, Sr., their son, Johnny Ray Hobbs, Jr., and her brother James Frohock preceded her in death. Mrs. Hobbs is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Hobbs and Sharon Norman (Jeffery) all of St. Augustine, a daughter in law, Kathy Hobbs of Starke, siblings: Gay Vause of Crawfordville and Wallace Frohock of Tallahassee. Also left behind are her four grandchildren, Christopher Hobbs (Sierra), Will Hobbs (Brittany), Brooke Frazee (Colton), and Jeff Norman; two great grandchildren, Peyton and Kairi. Funeral services for Mrs. Hobbs will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Rev. Scott Crook officiating. Interment will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery.
