Julie Lynn Walmsley

Mrs. Julie Lynn Walmsley age 62, of Starke passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at St. Vincents Medical Center Clay County. Julie was born on February 3, 1958 in Starke and was a lifelong resident of Bradford County. Prior to retirement she worked as a classification supervisor for the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Starke, loved the mountains, making crafts, flower gardening, and making floral arrangements. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her father Millard Griffis and her step-father, Claude Morgan. Survivors are: her husband of 32 years, Richard Walmsley, Jr. of Starke, daughter, Amie Johns of Starke, her mother, Dolores (Cexton) Morgan of Starke, step-daughters, Melinda Ortiz (Hector) of Valdosta, Ga, Melissa Walmsley of Lake City, siblings, Millard Griffis of Keystone Heights, Sheriden Miles of Lake City and Diane Strauss of Gretna, LA. Also left are nine grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Kingsley Lake Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Moore officiating.
