Julius Clements passed away on the evening of December 9, 2015. Loved by his family and friends, Julius enjoyed telling jokes and making everyone laugh with one-liners, as well as spending his time painting and dancing. He discovered his talent for painting later in life, amazing all with his skills. An avid lover of music, Julius enjoyed the easy listening standards that are a hallmark of his generation. He was born in New York City on December 1, 1919. Julius served in World War II with the 9th US Army Air Corps in Europe. After being discharged, he went to work with Lerners Shops (moving to Jacksonville in 1954) until his retirement in 1982. Julius was married for the first time at age 73 in 1992 and is survived by his wife, Pat, step-daughter Betty Perez, her husband Pedro (Pete) Perez and their son Carlos Perez, niece Ellen Diamond and her husband Jay, cousin Mildred Nass, as well as other nieces and nephews.
