ObituaryMr. Julius Daniel HodgesMr. Julius Daniel Hodges age 94, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at St. Vincents Hospital in Jacksonville. Mr. Hodges was born on December 13, 1915 in Berrien County, Georgia and was a resident of Green Cove Springs for 30 years before moving to Jacksonville 4 years ago. He was a retired Carpenter in the construction industry, and served in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) during the depression era and served with the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hodges was an avid Gardner and enjoyed farming. He was preceded in death by his children Nearl A. Hodges and Yvonne Rasada. Survivors are: his wife of 73 years Reva Wilson Hodges of Jacksonville; children: Julius L. Hodges of Seattle, WA; Wanda Vinglione; Michael Myatt both of Jacksonville; Faye Colding and Dora Tauch both of Middleburg; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.Graveside funeral services for Mr. Hodges will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery.
