Mrs. June Evelyn Cox went to her eternal rest on Friday, December 10, 2021 after completing 98 years of a very active life. Born in Rolfe, Iowa on June 14, 1923, she was the fifth child of Milo and Mayme Ives who raised eleven children. June was a dental technician in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served for over twenty years attaining the rank of Chief. In 1967, she moved to Keystone Heights and was an active member of the Keystone Heights Community Church and later, Fresh Start Fellowship. She spent the last two years of her life as a resident of Park of the Palms in Keystone and was grateful for the care she received. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of five years Elmo Cox; a step son Paul Cox; brothers Tom, Roger, Allen, Leonard and Jack; sisters Marjorie Lund, Dorothy Green and Marilyn (who died in infancy). Her survivors include her brother Burton (Pat) Ives and a sister Joyce Williams; stepdaughter in- law Ann Cox and stepson Larry (Marian) Cox. June was fondly called "Gramma June" by a total of nineteen step grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren. She was also cherished by a large group of Ives descendants. Honoring Junes wish to donate her body for medical education and research, there will not be a funeral service. Death does not separate us from those who we love. Instead, it deepens our union with them, God and with each other.
