J. Lori Strike 84, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 24, 2011 in Gainesville. She was born on January 5, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Walter and Eleanor (Albertson) Hopkins and had retired from General Electric as a Personnel Supervisor. Lori became a resident of the Park of the Palms Retirement Center in 1985 moving from Roxborough, Philadelphia, PA where she was a resident for over 35 years. She was a member of the body of Christ at the Park of the Palms Chapel since 1985 and a member of the Church of the Open Door in Philadelphia, PA then in Ft. Washington, PA for over 40 years. Lori was preceded in death by her first husband; Robert T. Stigale, her son, R. Paul Stigale, and her second husband, William Mel Strike. She is survived by her one grandson, Joel David Stigale of Plantation, FL, a missionary with Youth for Christ, serving in the Miami, FL area. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Park of the Palms Chapel beginning at 9:30 A.M. with funeral services following at 10:00 A.M. the Park of the Palms Chapel with Mr. Paul Kean officiating.
