Kaletyo M Rogers

Mrs. Kaletyo M. Rogers age 67 of Starke passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born in St. Augustine in 1953 and was a lifelong area resident. Prior to retirement Mrs. Rogers was the secretary to the classifications supervisor for the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a Benefactor Life Member of the NRA and participated in numerous pistol competitions. Mrs. Rogers was an avid nature and animal lover, often raising birds, squirrels and other animals in need. She enjoyed the great outdoors including, gardening, planting, tending to flowers, traveling and camping. One of her greatest loves was American politics. Those that knew Kaletyo would always say she was as unique and amazing as her name. Preceding her in death was her mother, Lillian Josephine Salano. Survivors are her adoring husband of 40 years Richard Rogers of Starke; four daughters Kelli Suits (Troy), Shelley Williams (David), Tamara Thiels and Terri Sewell. Also left behind are eight grandchildren, Kendallyn, Katelyn, Ashton, Shayney, Davin, Melissa (Joel), Timber, and Keit along with three great grandchildren Joselyn, Renner and Rowan. Memorial services may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2119 SW 16th St., Gainesville, FL 32608.
