Karen King age 75 of Starke passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Haven Hospice in Orange Park. She was born on August 20, 1951, in Panama City to Morris and Emmaline (Hutto) Parrish.

Her life was marked by love and devotion to her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts. Karen leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew her. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed just looking at flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of many years, R.W. King and their son Rodney King Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Ricky (Karen) King. She was lovingly called "Mee-maw" by her grandson, Wyett King, Kenley, and Colt King along with great-grandson, River King. Also left behind are numerous extended family members that will miss her dearly.

A memorial service for Mrs. King will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Mr. Bobby Epps officiating.
