Karen Lenora (Davey) Redmon completed her sojourn in this mortal life, Sunday morning, August 7th, following a gradual decline in her health over the last few years due to a neurological condition. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ricky D. Redmon, whom she married on December 24, 1994.Born in Burlington NC, on May 26, 1960, Karen spent her early adult years in Tennessee, then moved to Ocala FL, where she has resided for the past 20+ years. Karen lived her Christian faith, as a faithful believer and disciple ofJesus, and member of Pentecostal Trinity Church of Dunnellon. She cherished her life, loved her husband, and loved her dogs. She greatly enjoyed her approximately 30 years employment in the field of occupational therapy, having graduated from Nashville State Technical Institute in 1988. She was a dedicated employee and loved helping others, rarely even willing to take off time from work.Other surviving family members include her brothers Michael Davey of Tennessee and Martin Davey of Jacksonville, Florida; and additionally, her cousins, Aunts, some nephews and nieces, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.A graveside service will be held for Karen on August 13th, at 11:00am, at the Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 3900 State Rd. 100, Starke, FL 32091.Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 620 E.
