Mrs. Katharine Dorothy (Gruoner) Brophil, age 93 a resident of St. Augustine since January 2003, formerly of Keystone Heights and Delavan, Wisconsin died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at her home.Born on December 25, 1916 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Jacob & Bertha H. (Thorson) Gruoner. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a nursing assistant at the County Home in Elkorn, WI.Mrs. Brophil was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 202 and the Womens Club of Keystone Heights.She is survived by her sons: Robert F. (Tina) Brophil of St. Augustine and John T. Brophil of Coulee Dam, Washington. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward F.
