Katharine Elizabeth (Lib) Holger, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday July 21, 2014. Mrs. Holger was a member of South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and a retired office worker. She was born July 26, 1922 in Arcadia, Florida to Luby and Katharine Smith and spent her whole life in Florida, close to her family whom she loved. Katharine faced her final years of declining strength with quiet dignity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer O. Holger and her brother Willard (Bill) Smith. She is survived by her sister, Sue Craig; her sister-in-law, Trudy Smith; her children, Karen Strickland and Karl Holger; her nieces, Pat Alban and Lynne Lynn; her nephew, Rev. E. Daniel Smith; her 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:00am Friday, July 25, 2014, from the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Stephen C. Kolderup of South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church.
