Kathryn Brown, 78, passed away on July 9, 2012 at North Florida Regional Medical Center.She was born on March 20, 1934 in Ninety Six, South Carolina to William and Odell Chappell. She was a grocery store meat cutter by trade.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob M. Brown, Sr. and son, Jacob M. Brown, Jr.She is survived by her children, Karen J Macalusa, Patricia D. Koon, and William R. Brown and nine grandchildren.A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Avenue. A visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East, 3700 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville.
