Kayla Dawn Chastain 16 of Starke passed away on Saturday January 29, 2011. Kayla was born in Gainesville on March 3, 1994 and was a junior at the Bradford County High School. Kayla loved righting poetry, reading books, and attending school. She is survived by her mother, Melissa Griffis; father, Daniel Griffis; brothers, Joseph Griffis and Cameron Chastain; Maternal grandparents, William E. and Pauline Randolph; Paternal grandmother, Mary Griffis; Maternal great grandmother, Mary E. Peterson; Aunt Angie Randolph; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation for Kayla begin at 1 Oclock on Tuesday at the Kingsley Lake Cemetery.
