Kenneth "Ken" Smith

Mr. Kenneth "Ken" Smith, Sr. age 80 of Keystone Heights passed away Monday, July 22, 2019, at his home. He was born February 7, 1939, in Tazewell, Tennessee to Sherman and Mossie (Williams) Smith. Mr. Smith not only retired from farming for many years he had also retired following twenty years of employment with Disney as a truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, traveling to the mountains and playing bingo with his friends at the Keystone Senior Center. He was also a collector of baseball caps and enjoyed farming and joking around, but he especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Mary Smith. Survivors are his four children Regina Graffham (Steve) of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Renea Marcano (Nelson) of Keystone Heights, Ken Smith, Jr. (Diane) of Groveland and Steve Smith (Elisabeth Brana) of Hawthorne and one sister Betty Cheeseman of St. Pete. He was also lovingly called "Papaw" by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 26, 2019, from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
