It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Eugene Wilson, age 64 on Monday, December 21, 2020. His wife, mother, children and his siblings surrounded Kevin as he peacefully went home to Jesus.Kevin was born on November 24, 1956 to Charles and Ramona Wilson and was a life-long resident of Jacksonville. Kevin grew up in the wonderful family community of Arlingwood and graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1974. He excelled in football and wrestling, was well known for his great sense of humor and was a loved and lifelong friend to many of his classmates.Kevin was married to Terri Combs for 34 years before her death on June 27, 2010 at the age of 52. Kevin was blessed to find love again and married Deedee Drohan in August 2012. They enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family immensely. Kevin welcomed Deedees family with open arms and was lovingly known as Papa K.Kevin is survived by his wife Deedee, mother Ramona Wilson, children Kyli Shores (Ryan), Tyler Wilson, Cody Wilson (Ashley), grandchildren, Riley Shores & Tanner Wilson, brothers Danny Wilson (Kathy), Larry Wilson (Cindy) and sister Colette Haynes (Rob), along with 5 nephews, 1 niece, 1 grandnephew and 1 grandniece. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kaitlin, first wife Terri and father, Charles.He is also survived by bonus children, Natalie (Aaron) Adair, Michael Stone and Brittany (Ernie) Perez and grandchildren, Landon Adair, Presley Stone, Brody Stone, Dylan Perez, Brayden Stone, Isa Perez, Emmy Adair, Jonathan Shores, David Shores and Elizabeth Shores.Kevins long and very successful career in the shipyard industry began with Bellinger Shipyards in 1975, then Atlantic Marine Jacksonville. He retired in October 2020 as the Director of Sales and Marketing for BAE Shipyards where he enjoyed traveling the world meeting with clients.Kevin was Past President and loyal member of the Rotary Club of North Jacksonville and a member of Temple Lodge No. 23 F.A.&M. and the Morocco Shriners.Kevin will be forever remembered and loved by his family whom he lovingly referred to as the "Brady Bunch" and the many friends whose lives he touched and considered family. We will all miss his infectious smile, his quick wit, his generosity and most importantly, the joy and love he brought into our lives. We love you, dear Kevin.A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday January 23, 2021 in the Morocco Shrine, 3800 St. Johns Bluff Road, Jacksonville, FL 32224.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Rotary Club of North Jacksonville Charities Account to support charities that Kevin was passionate about.
