Krista J. Bailey

Born March 13, 1963

She went home to be with the LORD on July 9, 2025

Krista was a beautiful person with a refreshing sense of humor, a direct way of communicating and a love for life. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In a journal entry Krista wrote the following on June 24, 2025:

"I have been given a journey of cancer- AML- TP53. This disease I will die with. I believe in God and Heaven and when I die know that I'm with God in heaven and I will get to see all my loved ones that have gone home before me. I will be with my husband, James, nephew, Will, mom, dad, aunts, uncles. I will have a perfect body, free of pain, anxiety and fear. I will be with you, Amy, Tabytha, sister Melissa, Bill and brother Keith. I will be the wind and the sun on your face. Think of me and smile. I loved my life and my family."

Krista is survived by her daughter Amy Holley, granddaughter Tabytha Holley, sister Melissa, (Bill) Irwin and brother Keith Jones.

She is preceded by her husband and soul-mate James, nephew Will, parents, William and Juanita Jones and grandparents.

May all who knew Krista find comfort and peace from God.

"Dear Krista, we miss you but when we think of you, we will smile."

In lieu of flowers it was Krista's request that donations be made to Haven Hospice E.T. York Center Gainesville, Florida.
