LALITHA RAMAKRISHNAN, 4-April-1931, to 28-October-2023Lalitha Ramakrishnan, wife of the noted scientist Alladi Ramakrishnan, passed away on October 28 in Gainesville, at the age of 92. She was born in Trivandrum, India, on April 4, 1931. Her father H. Subramani Iyer, a Professor of Astronomy, was Principal of The Maharajas College, Trivandrum. She moved to Madras, India, when she got married. When Alladi Ramakrishnan conducted his famous Theoretical Physics Seminar at his family home in Madras, she graciously hosted many eminent scientists, including Nobel Laureates, who attended her husbands seminar. She pursued South Indian Classic Music vocal with a passion and has given concerts in India and Florida.
