Lamar Franklin Moore, 99, passed away on Saturday, December 1st in the Hadlow Center for Caring Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania on July 20, 1919 to Charles and Bertha Moore. He was the third of four children. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army where he served during World War 2. He graduated from the University of Miami with his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by private industry and the federal government until his retirement. He and his wife, Renna Moore, moved to Pomona Park, Florida where they lived for forty years. He was an active member of the community for many years.He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Renna. He is survived by his children Thomas and Marlin Moore and Cynthia Vartanian, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Pine Hill Cemetery, Elysburg, Pennsylvania.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, Pomona Park, Florida.
