Laraine Opal Franze

Laraine Opal Franze, 62, of Macclenny, FL, embarked upon her home going celebration to be with the Lord on December 14, 2016.Mrs. Franze was born Laraine Opal Fagerberg on July 27, 1954 to the late Walter and Opal Fagerberg in Dunkirk, NY. Given her passion for children and learning, Laraine had recently retired from a successful teaching career of 38 years. Laraine moved from western New York to Florida in 1984 with her husband of 41 years, David Franze and their two children, the late Erik Franze and daughter, Kristin Polhill.Laraine is survived by her husband, David Franze; daughter, Kristin Polhill and husband; brother, Dr. Seigfred Fagerberg; and two grandchildren.A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM, at the Forest Meadows Funeral Home, located at 725 NW 23rd Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609.Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 352-378-2528.
