Mr. Larry William Hartley, age 78, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness. He was born on September 29, 1947, in Jacksonville to the late Clarence and Helen (Price) Hartley and spent most of his life in Keystone Heights.

Mr. Hartley was a proud veteran of the National Guard and poured his working years into the construction industry as a journeyman with W.W. Gay until his retirement 45 years later. He was a simple man at heart, who could often be found in his trusty flannel shirts and jeans, doing what he loved—building race cars and boats, and cheering on his favorite racers from the stands.

An active and long-time member of Hope Baptist Church in Teressa for 31 years, Larry embraced his faith and was a familiar face in his community. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda (Waldron)Hartley; his son, Larry Wade Hartley both of Keystone Heights; his brother, Fred Hartley and his sister, Martha Weeks both of Jacksonville. He was lovingly called "Papa" by his grandson, Connor Hartley. Also left behind are several nieces, nephews, and his adorable fur babies
