Larry J. Roe, 59, of Gainesville passed away September 30, 2014 following an extended illness. Mr. Roe was born in Elmira, New York, but had lived in the Gainesville area for the past 35 years. Mr. Roe was an active member of the Flying Gators and was an avid gun target shooter. In his spare time Mr. Roe's passion was building air planes.Mr. Roe is survived by his wife of 35 years Sharon Roe, a son James Roe, a daughter Crissy Roe, his grandchildren Carmen, Caity, and Maddie all of Gainesville, his brother Bob Roe of New York, and his sisters Barbara Burns of New York, Georgia Tuttle of New York, Nancy Ferreira of Florida, and Pam Morgan of Pennsylvania. Mr. Roe is also survived by numerous other family members, friends, and Patch.Funeral services for Mr. Roe will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel (725 NW 23rd Ave). Interment will follow in Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday evening.
