ObituaryFuneral services for Larry Wooten, 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022 from the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael Moore of First United Methodist Church of Starke, FL officiating. Born July 14, 1946 in Douglas, Georgia to Ruth and Aldine Wooten, Mr. Wooten died Thursday, August 25, 2022 in a local hospital. He served in the United States Army, was a retired Correctional Officer from the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office and a lifetime member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 530. Mr. Wooten was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Glenn Wooten. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Patricia "Patty" Davis Wooten of Jacksonville; two daughters, Melissa (James) Wilder of St. Augustine, FL and Renee Walker of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Heather Peters of Aiken, SC; a sister-in-law, Susan (Tommy) Hamilton of Jacksonville; a brother-in-law, Jerry Davis of Lexington, Ohio; a cousin, David Foreman of Atlanta, GA; and many other family members in Georgia, Florida and Ohio. Funeral services are under the direction of George H.
