LaTrelle Sumner Sheffield, 86, a Jacksonville native and graduate of Andrew Jackson, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning. She was a wonderful Mom to five children and a second Mom to numerous others; a grandmother to 12 and a great-grandmother to 14, but called Grandmommie by countless others; sister to 1; aunt and cousin to many. LaTrelle lived the last years of her life at Riverside Presbyterian house surrounded by a wonderful group of friends and caring Staff who watched out for each other every day. Mom was known for her generous spirit and supportive nature. We are all very lucky to have had her in our lives. LaTrelle lost her husband, B.K. Sheffield, over 31 years ago and missed him every day - reunited at last! She leaves behind 2 daughters Linda Shepherd and Peggy Slier. 3 sons Ken, Carl (Bobbie) and Bill (Pam) Sheffield 12 Grandchildren Allison, Beth, Jim, Kristin, Douglas, Alex, Sarah, Elizabeth, Clinton, Sheffield, Matthew (her most special caregiver) and Emma. 14 Great Grandchildren, Sweetheart Ellie, Abby, Sam, Demi, Xander, Skyla, Shae, Korah, Cade, Austin, Abby, Addison, Carl and Sophia. 1 sister Joyce Leeds and numerous nieces and nephews. Cryptside services will be held Monday, March 14th , 10AM at Evergreen's Garden Cloister Mausoleum, Rev. Lila Byrd Brown officiating. Memorials may be made in her memory to: Riverside Presbyterian House. Arrangements under the direction of George H.
