Mrs. Laura Jean Logan, 72, a longtime resident of Keystone Heights, passed away on, Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Community Hospice in Jacksonville. Mrs. Logan was born in Middletown, New York on February 3, 1939, to the late Mr. William and. Ethel Mayfield Magar, and had formerly worked as a monitor on the handicapped bus for the Clay County school district. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Starke. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, James Logan; her children, Ethel Pascall of Cleveland, Ohio; Kathy Padgett (Jack) of Palatka; James Logan Jr. (Tami) ; Sherre Logan ( Adam); James Logan III (Ann), Jackie Padgett ( Sunday), all of Keystone Heights; Steven Padgett (Amanda) of Lake Butler. She also leaves behind her siblings, Joyce (Tony) of Roanoke Park, CA, Ed Magar (Jenny), Carol Milky ( Bill), all of Howes, NY; Ken Magar (Ingrid) of Sussex, NJ; and Kay Corby of Minnesota, as well as 4 grandchildren ,4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mrs. Logan will be on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME Chapel with Reverend Dan Graham officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
