Obituary

Mr. Laurence "Larry" W. Norman, 79 of Lawtey, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Mr. Norman was born May 25, 1942 in Highland to parents Lacey J. and Ellen (Griffis) Norman. He attended Smyrna Baptist Church, was employed at DuPont for 45 years, and was a 1960 graduate of Bradford High School. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking with friends, going out to dinner, and listening to southern gospel music. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cleo Sapp. Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Geraldine (Starling) Norman, daughter Rhonda Tillotson (Richard Cates), grandchildren, Tara McRee (Garrett), Lari Ann Tillotson (Austin), Charity Cates, great grandchildren, Brayden Tillotson, Gus McRee, Rylan Sellars, Abbigale Sellars, Johanna McRee, Hattie McRee, and nephews, Paul Sapp (Tara), and Dick Sapp (Gwen). Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2022 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor Charles Starling and Pastor Lester Austin officiating. The family will hold a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
