Mrs. Lavon C. Drivas, age 64 of Starke passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Drivas was born on December 28, 1949 in Starke to the late Brady and Gladys (Lee) Collins. She graduated from Bradford High and the University of Florida. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Altrusa of Starke, the Starke Womens Club, and the University of Florida Music Sorority. Prior to retirement she worked for the Bradford County School Board teaching music. Survivors are: her husband: Spyros D. Drivas of Starke, son: Demetrius A Drivas of Starke, brother: A. Bernard Collins of Massachusetts, her aunt: Louise Lee, many cousins, other family members and loving friends. The family will receive friends at the JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the First United Methodist Church of Starke with Pastor Mike Moore officiating.
