Lawrence Keith Sanders, of Orange Park, age 76 died, Thursday, December 5, 2013. Mr. Sanders was a member of St. John the Devine Greek Orthodox Church. He had worked as an educator with the Clay County School System and while living in the Dayton, Ohio area, he not only was a teacher, but also a coach of wrestling, football and girls gymnastics. Mr. Sanders also was a professional photographer, as well as a talented wood worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Kathryn Sanders and a sister, Patricia Ann Billsborough. Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay Sanders, a daughter, Jennifer Elliott and husband, Jeffrey and one grandson. He is also survived by aunts, Val Hawkins and Millie Stein and husband, Carl and an uncle, Forrest G. Broaddus. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at St. John the Devine Greek Orthodox Church with Father Nicholas Louh officiating. Burial will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery at 1:30 PM. hide
