Lena Dean Moore

Lena Dean Moore, 89, passed away on Monday August 10, 2015 in Jacksonville. A Jacksonville native, Dean was born on August 2, 1926 to Joseph & Carolyn McCall, along with her twin sister, Mae. Dean attended Andrew Jackson High School and was a member of the Jackson Jills. Dean was also a longtime member of Franklin Street Baptist Church and retired after a 32 year career with Atlantic National Bank. Dean was preceded in death by her three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 14, 2015 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Dr. Terry Gore of Franklin Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday August 13, 2015 at the funeral home.
