Mr. Minchew was born on September 22, 1943 in Pearson, Georgia to the late Leon L. Minchew, Sr. and Mildred Jordon Minchew and was a retired minister. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Minchew. Survivors are: children Tammy Duncan of Jacksonville; Angel Minchew and Leon Minchew II; sisters: Louise Corbitt of Jacksonville; Betty Walters of Folkston, GA; Mary Yarbrough of Jesup, GA; and Jean Wooten of Kathleen, GA; several grandchildren.
