Funeral services for Leonard Sayles Wynn, 87, will be held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, December 9th, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with Rev. Steve McCollum officiating. Private burial will follow in Long Branch Cemetery, Maxville, FL. Friends may pay respects from 9am until 9pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.Born March 5, 1933 in Riverside, New Jersey to Alberta and Clarence Wynn, Mr. Wynn died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 at his home in Jacksonville. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a retired supervisor from a Trucking Transport Company and was a security guard with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Arlington American Legion Post, William B. Barnett Lodge No. 187, F.&A.M., the Scottish Rite Bodies, the York Rite Bodies, and Morocco Temple of the Shrine. He was past patron of the Southside Chapter Order of Eastern Star and past patron of Amaranths Acacia Court No. 10.Mr. Wynn was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Tucker, two grandsons, Eric Hartzog and Caleb Tucker, and his mother, Alberta ORourke. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Louise OSteen Wynn of Jacksonville, a daughter, Cheryl Kay (Mark) Kramp of St. Augustine, FL and a brother, Joseph ORourke of Pembroke, GA..
