Leroy Weaver

Leroy (Lee) Weaver was born February 24, 1956, to the late Leroy Richard and Jeanne Weaver in Elmira, New York, and grew up in neighboring Horseheads. On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, the world lost a wonderful man and heaven gained one. Lee is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Rosemarie (Ro); daughter Ryan Wyrosdick (Chris) and three grandsons, Tyler, Christian, and Cameron; daughter Tara Hill (Tommy) and granddaughter Sawyer. Lee is also survived by his humungous and adoring extended family - his sister Linda Harland (Ernie), niece Jeanann and nephew Michael; Armand and Frances Cirulli; Jim and Linda Cirulli Burton; Bob and Debbie Chapman (Danielle, Kimmy); Joe Cirulli; Dan Cirulli and Brenda Monies; Mike Cirulli (Nicky, Marie); and Crissy Cirulli. We also lovingly acknowledge another brother and sister since childhood, Mike and Sheri Kline (Courtney, Mike, and Kyle).Lee graduated from Horseheads High School and Corning Community College. He was an avid athlete, including baseball, football, basketball and golf. He began his work life at New York State Electric and Gas. He went on to work at Hardinge Brothers locally, and then relocated with them to Pittsburgh and Boston. In his last move, he settled in Gainesville (FL) to join his extended family, first working as an employee and then owner of Mint Magazine.For so many of us, Lee was the epitome of a husband, father, son, papa, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered as one of the most kind-hearted, loving, helpful and downright funny humans to walk this earth. He loved his family (and new dog, Delilah) intensely, yet never met a stranger. He was larger than life and will be forever cherished.A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 9, at 3:00 p.m., at Grace at Fort Clarke United Methodist Church, 9325 W. Newberry Road, Gainesville. Pastor Rick Thompson will perform the service, assisted by Linda Cirulli-Burton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local American Heart Association.
