Lewis E. Bruton Lewis E. Bruton, 93, died February 15, 2012. Mr. Bruton was one of 4 sons of A. L. Bruton and Mabel Gene Bruton. He was a native of Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the North Jacksonville Baptist Church and had retired from Carpenters Local #627. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. #6922 and a longtime member of the American Legion Post #9. Mr. Bruton was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years the late Elouise K. Bruton. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Evie Bruton; a number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Rev. Grant Wheeler officiating.
