The Daughters of Lewis Raymond (Ray) Routzong would like to announce the passing of their Dad. Born on March 30, 1922 in Portland Oregon, the youngest of three children, the family moved to Jacksonville Florida when he was 3 years of age. He attended Andrew Jackson High School. He joined the Navy in WWII where he was stationed in New Guinea as a machinist mate first class. After his tour of service he returned home to Jacksonville where he worked for the Amoco Oil Company as a Tank Driver and retired as Dispatcher with 30 yrs service. Our Dad was one of the founding members of The Hogan Spring Glenn Volunteer Fire Department Station 20, retiring as Captain from St. Johns Bluff VFD Station 29. He is preceded in life by his bride of 54yrs Frances and our (furry brother) Dibble. He leaves his daughters Karin Routzong, Niki (David) Hagenbuch and her children Christian (Katrina) Hagenbuch and Rachel (Edd) Powers, Rene Routzong, Holly Routzong her children Alex and Haley and also many nieces and nephews. We would like to acknowledge and thank the Jacksonville Fire Department, Station 20, the wonderful Doctors and Nurses of the Mayo Clinic Emergency staff and the staff of the N. E. Florida Hospice McGraw Center. Per his wishes there will be no funeral service. In leu of flowers please make a donation in his name to one of the following: N. E.
