Lillian J. Piombo

Lillian J. Piombo, 91, passed away on December 18, 2015 at her home in Jacksonville. She was born on August 9, 1924 in Venice, Florida and moved to Jacksonville at the age of five. She was a member of Deercreek Country Club and a charter member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.Mrs. Piombo was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Lorena Johnson and her husband, John Piombo. She is survived by several cousins and namesakes, Lillian Powell and Lillian Riber (Jeffrey) as well as many good friends.Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 22, 2015 in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Per Lillians request there will be no visitation; therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 9700 Philips Hwy., Suite 06, Jacksonville, FL 32256; the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216 or to Wolfson Childrens Hospital, 800 Prudential Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32207.Services are under the direction of George H.
