Lillie Mae Ayer

Lillie Mae Ayer (89) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 30, 2016. Lillie Mae was born in Bryceville, Florida on June 5, 1927 and was the youngest of 7 children born to Arthur Walton Hunt and Annie Jane Davis.Lillie Mae is preceded in death by her late ex-husband, Lewis Mansell Ayer and her six siblings. She is survived by her two loving daughters Gladys Ann Ayer and Vonda Kay Ayer, four grand dogs, several nieces, nephews and wonderful lifelong friends.Lillie was a homemaker, worked for Stumps Department Store for many years and was a member of Southside Baptist Church formerly Graham Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with her daughters traveling, going to dinner, playing guitar, singing, going to church, and socializing. She also enjoyed spending time in the North Georgia Mountains, watching birds and squirrels out her window and watching flowers bloom. She always wore a smile and was filled with laughter on her face and everyone that met her fell in love with her sweet disposition. She had a strong will to live and fought to the very end leaving her family and friends to deeply miss her.The family will receive friends in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock.
