Ms. Linda Roxanne Converse age 52 of Starke passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at her residence. Ms. Converse was born on March 20, 1957 in South Carolina to the late William Henry and Carol Merritt McElveen and moved to Starke 17 years ago. Roxanne was a retired Waitress and a Baptist. Survivors are sons: Matthew McElveen of Starke; Robert Mitchum of Norfolk, VA; sisters: Pamela Kaelin; Crystal Therrell and Jay Dawkins all of Rock Hill, SC; brothers: Bill McElveen of York, SC.; Jeff Dawkins and Joel Dawkins both of Rock Hill, SC. Memorial services for Ms Converse will be on Friday, January 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel, 620 E. Nona St., Starke, FL 32091.
