Linda J. Clark Gestrin 75 of High Springs, FL stepped into glory on March 23, 2025. Born in Erie, PA and relocated to Florida as a child. Lindas grandparents, Hamilton Clark Sr. and Lula Wilson Clark were full-time residents of High Springs. She spent many of her summers as a child in Alachua. She and her immediate family resided in Orlando, Florida. She attended Edgewater High School graduating in 1967. After relocating to High Springs full time in 2000, Linda served as a High Springs City Commissioner from 2011 to 2014 and passionately loved her community. As a 3rd generation resident her family maintains deep roots in Alachua County. Her grandfather, Hamilton Clark Sr. was a local railroad engineer. Her father Hamilton Clark Jr. worked for Martin Marietta as an engineer with notable accomplishments of design for the Space Shuttle, Bradley Tank, Sprint Missile Program and the Patriot Missile. During her life Lindas career was wide ranging. She served as a childcare director, private investigating firm administrator, interior design, fabric and textiles, public relations and city commissioner in addition to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Linda was a woman of unwavering faith and a constant prayer warrior. She spent countless hours praying for loved ones, friends and even strangers in line at the grocery store. She was our family historian who we all went to with our family history questions. She loved her family deeply and unapologetically. Her husband of almost 40 years, Dennis Gestrin, survives as a shining example of what a partner, father, and grandfather should be. He has stood by her through the best and worst of times and cherished her life as he will her loving memory. Linda was preceded in death by Hamilton Clark Sr, Lula Wilson Clark, Janie Amanda Clark, Hamilton Clark Jr., Florence Pass and Diane Clark. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Gestrin; daughter, Cyndie Beasley; grandson, Spencer Beasley; mother, Arlene Clark; siblings, David Clark, Ronald H. Clark, Deborah Seyam, Matthew Clark; nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda will be missed by many, and we will cherish our memories of the time we got to spend with her until we are reunited with her again one day. Linda was laid to rest on Friday, March 28, 2025 in High Springs, FL.
