Linda Hill Jobes

Linda Hill Jobes, age 75, passed away suddenly on December 22, 2018 in Jacksonville while recovering from heart surgery. A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 18, 2019 in Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223, with Pastor Jeffery St. Clair officiating.Linda was born October 4, 1943 and was a longtime Jacksonville resident. After graduating from Landon High School in 1961, she attended Jacksonville University where she met Michael Pearson Jobes who later became her husband in 1965. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Lilly Pharmaceuticals for many years until her retirement in 2003. Outside of work, Linda enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, playing cards, learning new technology, spending time with family and organizing gatherings with her friends. She was a kind-hearted, loving Mother and Grandmother who would always go out of her way to do anything for anyone.Linda was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Lucille Hill.
