Linda Kay Lawhorn

Linda Kay Lawhorn, age 55, of Elwood, Indiana and formerly of Starke, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015, from injuries she sustained in a motorcycle accident. She was born on December 5, 1959, in Montgomery, AL to the late Irving H. and Catherine (Shores) Ruper. Linda was an avid motorcycle rider, rock collector, and she enjoyed flowers and gardening but most of all, Linda lived her life to the fullest. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Lawhorn, onegrandson, Mikah and father in laws, Earl D. York and Ron McPhearson. Linda is survived by her husband, of 24 years, Mike York of Elwood, Indiana; two daughters, Michelle Smith (Dustin) and Briana Lawhorn( Joey Miranda) all of Starke; eight grandchildren, Kelsey, Kevin, Justine, Olivia, Waylon, Kiley, Olivia "O" , and Daniel; two brothers, Doug Lavalley of TX and Rod Lavalley (Kelly) of TN; a sister in law, Dallas Lavalley of TX; mother in law, Linda McPhearson & Doug Leever of Elwood, Indiana; Mother in law, Shirley York of Starke. She also leaves behind her six sister and brother in laws, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Linda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Crosby Lake Cemetery.
