Linda Susan Rengarts

Linda Susan Rengarts, 61, of Gainesville passed away April 18, 2016. She was born in Orlando, FL on May 22, 1954 to Norma Rengarts and the late Dr. Robert T. Rengarts. She was a retired administrative assistant in the University of Florida Dept of Engineering. She was an active volunteer at Dudley Farm State Park, was involved with Gainesville Rose Society for many years, and also volunteered with Dance Alive.Linda attended UF and had previously owned Rose Petals Nursery. She had two beloved dogs. She had also had show dogs and horses in the past. Among her many talents and skills, she was an avid gardener with a showcase yard that everyone admired. She loved to cultivate flowering plants and roses and give them as gifts to family and friends.She is survived by her mother, Norma Rengarts of Gainesville, her brother, Andrew P. Rengarts (Roberta) of Chestertown, MD, her sister, Karen Thomas of Gainesville; and three nephews, an aunt, and several cousins. She also had numerous beloved friends.The family will plan a memorial service at Dudley Farm at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lindas name to Friends of Dudley Farm.
