Linda Benice Thompson, age 70, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Hospice of Marion County Cates House in Ocala from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Linda was born on July 28, 1955 in Panama City to the late Avis and Beatrice (Taylor) Fuqua and grew up in Oldsmar. She attended school at the Florida School for The Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine. Linda was a devoted active member of the Jehovah Witness. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Doyle Thompson. Survivors are, her daughter, Bonnie Thompson of Starke, siblings, Avon Fuqua (Shirley) of Jackson South Carolina, Jesse Fuqua of Ashford, Alabama, Laura Crews of Starke, Eva Huff of Hudson and Ashley Fuqua (JoAnn) of Hudson along with her church family and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3660 SW 7th Place, Ocala, FL 34474.
