It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lloyd G. Nickell, who left us on February26, 2025. Born on February 13, 1962, in Akron, OH, Lloyd was a proud father, devoted son, anda cherished brother. He made his home in Middleburg, FL.Lloyds love for his family was evident in everything he did. He is survived by his sons, Morganand McKenzie Nickell of Jacksonville, FL. Lloyd also leaves behind two wonderful grandchildrenwho brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, SharonJones of Middleburg, FL and his father Virgil Nickell who resides in South Carolina. He issurvived by his brother and dedicated caretaker, Bryan Nickell, who was by his side throughouthis final days.Being born in Ohio and growing up in Florida, Lloyd was an avid fan of the Cleveland Brownsand Florida State Seminoles. He found joy in going to concerts around Florida with his brotherBryan and friend Tim Nelson, cheering on his favorite NASCAR drivers, and spending time withfamily. Early in his life, he served in the United States Air Force, where he proudly carried outhis duties and made lasting contributions to his country. He possessed an immense wealth ofknowledge and was known for his ability to engage in conversation on nearly any topic, offeringwisdom and perspective to all who knew him. He lived life with a spirit that touched everyonearound him, and his absence will be felt deeply.A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held in the near future, where family and friends will gatherto remember the good times, share stories, and honor the wonderful man he was. Furtherdetails about the services will be shared soon.In keeping with his wishes, Lloyd will be cremated.As we remember Lloyd, lets carry forward his spirit of kindness and community.
