Mrs. Lisa June Dampier, 62, of Gainesville passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019. Lisa was born Feb. 9, 1957 in Starke and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Prior to retirement she worked for the Florida Department of Transportation as a payroll and production clerk for 34 years. Lisa was a woman of deep faith whose kind heart and gentle spirit inspired those who knew her. She was the family photographer. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Steve Dampier; children, John (Amy) Morgan of Brooker; Heather (Chris) Festo of Archer and Steve Dampier Jr. (Danielle) of Hawthorne; her parents, Riley and Ethel Sharon (Green) Sweat of Starke and her brother, Jonathan (Vickie) Sweat of Starke and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Granny and Grandpa, Willie and Mathel (Morrell) Green. The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church, 13391 SE County Road 100A in Starke Friday, Oct. 11 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Russ Hale officiating.
