Obituary for Lisa Zimmerman

Lisa Zimmerman, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida, at the age of 69. Born on August 18, 1955, in Jennings, Louisiana, Lisa was a woman of deep warmth, resilience, and devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Charles Radau and Helen Byrd Radau of Houma, Louisiana. Their values and love shaped much of Lisa's sassiness and lively spirit.

Lisa leaves behind a loving legacy in her children: her son, Jay Navarrete, and her daughter and son-in-law, Helena and Chris Robertson. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to six grandchildren who brought her endless joy: Anna Navarrete, Eden Navarrete, Summer Navarrete, Ethan Robertson, Austin Robertson, and Gavin Robertson.

Family was the center of Lisa's world. Her door was always open, her table always full, and her heart always ready to give. She found joy in the small things — a shared laugh, a new plant for the garden, or a grandchild's smile. Her strength, compassion, and grace will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services to celebrate Lisa's life will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home 725 NW 23rd Ave Gainesville.Fl 32609, with burial to follow at Newnansville Cemetery, 12308 W St Rd 235 Alachua, FL 32615
